Who Are We?

We got tired of paying dealer prices for shirts nobody wanted to wear.

HawgDogs is original motorcycle apparel from metro Detroit. The artist, the web guy, and the business guy all ride.  Real miles, not a mood board. Plus we love dogs!

Why this exists

Official bike brand shirts used to mean something. Big graphics. Local dealer pride. A shirt you actually wanted to put on after a ride. Then the catalog got small, the designs got safe, and the price tag started looking like a parts invoice.

Limited drops. Same five graphics rotated through new colors. Thin fabrics. And they wanted huge money for it.

So we built the thing we could not find: original art, heavier shirts, prints that survive a summer of sweat and a winter in the closet, at a price a working rider can live with. Plus Dogs!

Michiganders. Period.

This company is not a west-coast brand with a Midwest filter on the photos. The artist, the web guy, and the business guy are all from metro Detroit. That is not a slogan. That is where we live and ride.

Southeast Michigan raised this. Two-lane roads up north when we can steal a weekend. Dealer lots, diner coffee, and the kind of weather that teaches you why a good shirt matters. If it does not make sense here, it does not ship.

Meet HawgDog

HawgDog is the face of the brand. Tan pit-and-boxer mutt. Short coat. Half-helmet, brass-rim goggles, leather cut, tattoos, tongue out until you give him a reason to put it away. He rides a black bagger like he stole the last good Saturday. I had this dog, he died in 2020. This is a tribute to Max.  He is not a licensed mascot and he is not a focus-group pig in a bar-and-shield hat. He is ours. Drawn here. Printed here. Mean if you poke him. Happy if you are on two wheels and not full of it.

There is no “lifestyle team” writing copy about a life they do not live. If your name is on this company, you have a bike in the garage and miles on the odometer. People who know what a 5,000-mile service feels like and what a shirt should feel like after eight hours in the sun and bugs stuck all over it.

That is the quality test. Would we wear it to a meeting, a memorial ride, or a Saturday blast up to Frankenmuth? If the answer is no, it does not get printed.

Better shirt. Honest price.

We are not trying to be a museum gift shop. We print original graphics on heavyweight fabrics we would actually buy with our own money. Heavier cotton. Ink that does not crack after three washes. Cuts that fit like a rider wears clothes, not like a fashion sample.

Affordable does not mean cheap. It means we skipped the licensed markup, the six layers of brand management, and the $44 shirt problem. You pay for the art and the shirt. That is it.

From here

If you have been walking out of the MotorClothes wall empty-handed, or worse, walking out with a shirt you already own in a different color, you are who this is for.

HawgDogs. Drawn in Michigan. Worn on the road. Throw one on and go ride.
